dwdgdah - die wiederholung der geschichte der amerikanischen heimatlosigkeit

making electronic music means working with files. besides cutting them, rearranging them, manipulating them, this also means working with the archive, confronting different dates in time with eachother. creating the liveset for dwdgdah created the unique opportunity for me to confront material that is almost 20 years old, when i was starting making music with the computer, and recent material. sometimes working on it raised questions about my own contingency or consequence, like a discordance of my own identity of the past, but sometimes also a surprise of an unexpected unity with it.
